Have students guess the number of jelly beans in a jar. Then calculate the mean, median, mode, and range of their guesses. Make a box and whisker plot of their data. Attached is the data for my classes. The jar was a 1 quart wide mouth jar filled with gourmet jelly beans. There were 797 jelly beans in the jar. I gave the jar of jelly beans to the student with the closest guess.
